Derek Lucas from Buon Amici's was successful in capturing the Western Regional Barista Championship last night, in what proved to be a fiercely competitive event. Twelve barista's participated this year, showcasing their talents and skill sets in front of both a well attended crowd and an esteemed set of judges. Derek's performance was exceptionally well polished and entertaining and should prove hard to beat in Toronto at the National Barista Championships in mid September. We are all very proud of how well the partnership between our OFS Select Espresso and Derek's baristi talents have married up to capture top prize in this well respected and growing competition.
